| RANG DE BASANTI is a story about the youth of India today. A young, London based film- maker chances upon the diaries of her grandfather, who served in the British police force in India during the freedom struggle. Excited about these memoirs, she makes plans to shoot a film on the Indian revolutionaries mentioned in the diaries. She comes down to Delhi, and casts a group of five friends to play the pivotal roles of these revolutionaries. However, products of modern India, the five youngsters initially refuse to be part of the project, as they don't identify with these characters from the past. Not surprising, considering that they're part of a generation of Indians that believes in consumerism. To them issues like patriotism and giving one's life for one's beliefs is the stuff stuffy text- books are made of. They would rather party than be patriots. In the film both the 1930's British India and the India Today run parallel and intersect with each other at crucial points. As the film reaches its resolution the line between past and present blur's, as they become one in spirit. watching now | |

| I recently watched a spanish movie - Tesis - by the talented young director Alejandro Amenábar. This is a great thriller movie with very less outdoors. Most of the movie takes place in rooms and with very less characters. Amenábar has a nice choice of characters and they all fit so well to etch the movie outstandingly. The movie tagline says - Me llamo Ángela. Me van a matar. (My name is Angela. They're going to kill me.) This is a story about a student in Madrid - Angela - who is doing a research on violence and brutality displayed in the media around us and how they might change our attitude towards life. It all starts with her requesting her supervisor to bring her some prohibited videos from the university library for her research. The next day, she finds her supervisor dead in an auditorium. His eyes were open and evidently he was watching the video he took from the library when he died of shock. What could be in the video that could kill a man? The mystery thickens as she bumps upon a dangerous racket of snuff movies. It is worth watching, grips you till the very end. | |

| A family movie, I watched together with my mum. SynopsisSuperstar quarterback and bachelor Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) plays for the fictitious Boston Rebels American football team, who are competing for a championship. Kingman is living the good life: he's rich, famous, and energetic, especially at parties. One day, an 8 year old girl named Peyton Kelly (Madison Pettis) shows up at his door claiming to be his daughter. She claims her mom suddenly had to leave for Africa, and presents a letter and a birth certificate as proof. Kingman and his agent are doubtful, but they decide not to run a paternity test because of contract negotiations. Though at the beginning things don't work out that well, Joe and Peyton started to get along. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_Plan_(film) | |

I have seen it already, it is very long very boring and humdrum movie but tastes differ I think you better watch it and made your own conclusion. When I was in India every day servant put a newspapers for us and I read an article that thanks to this movie parents noticed that their kids have Dyslexia:affraid: of course before it was difficult to understand that your kid has some difficulties with written langauge, particularly with readind & spelling and only after movie finally they went to doctors.
