2019-07-04 It seemed like a nice evening with Jackie and Simba catching some Zzzzzs on the front porch, but as soon as the fireworks started, Jackie scooted out of there! She was not impressed with the best firework show in S. CA.

5-1-19 Big Bear Eagles~Juvenile Bald Eagle Intruder At The Nest Tree!
6:54 pm~ Jackie is at the nest with her adorable babies when she sees an intruder near the nest. It's a juvenile bald eagle, 2-3 years old. Jackie alerts over and over, tracking the eagle, defending her nest and the eaglets. Four minutes later, pine needles fall onto the nest, the juvenile is in the tree, just above Jackie and her babies. Again mom alerts over and over, cranking her neck as she watches the intruder. At 7:04 pm, the eagle flies off the nest towards the lake. Shadow is seen giving pursuit, escorting the juvenile out of their territory.
Shadow comes to the nest and alerts, seconds later, mom flies off. Mom returns then they both fly off together. Mom returns, still on alert. The cam pans out both directions of the nest. As it pans back, Shadow is at the nest. Things have calmed down, it's been an hour since the intruder made it's presence. Shadow feeds their babies, mom returns and Shadow flies off.
