What I can say I memorized those words! And when I was in India, at the book fair I met a lot ppl, some of them became as my friends later, when they asked me do you know something from hindi, I said, yes, sure, I know bandar and gadha they make a big eyes and always asked me who taught you of course I didnt tell who it was
So maybe someone will teach me everyday hindi bcz I want to say something else in hindi not only bandar and etc.
And plus some indians were really surprised when on their question do you speak hindi I replied "no" as a rule they react like this or like this YOU DONT KNOW HINDI??????? (èíîãäà åùå òàêîå ëèöî äåëàëè, òèïà äà òû ïîëíûé îòñòîé, ôó! âîîáùå êàçëûûûû!!!!! êàê-áóäòî õèíäè ýòî òàêîé ïîïóëÿðíûé ÿçûê, ÷òî ïðîñòî äàæå íå îáñóæäàåòñÿ, âñå äîëæíû íà õèíäè ãîâîðèòü) Later I began to reply but you also dont know Russian
I tried to study hindi but it was unsuccessfully, later I understood that for me more useful to remember hindi by phrases:

Another aspect of learning a language is pronunciation. It would be good idea to get some audio cds or cassettes for improving.

yes Lena, I also didnt understand why people asked me if I speak hindi or kannada.........

Lena, do you know Devanagari? Can you read?
I could write some phrases but only in Devanagari. I don't know how exactly it'd be in transcription

I don't think Lena can read Devanagari...
And I have the same problem......don't know how to write it the other way... ...coz it's not the same to me...
Savyonok could do it or even we can transcribe it in Russian...

Even I dont know why...guess its some indian trait....or maybe out of curiosity...their eyes may get popped if you do start speaking hindi fluently...

We have a friend here - Nastya - she knows hindi pretty well...and whenever any seller tells her some ridiculous price....she just says "Pagal samjha hai kya? (you think I am crazy?)"..and the seller is too surprised to bargain with her

Okay, here are little corrections:

Mujhe yaad nahin hain with a nasal n

Mujhe kuchh nahin (again a nasal n in the end) chahiye

Beech mein mat bolo! (the e in beech is stressed like beach in english; mein has the same nasal n)

One day we decided to visit Akshardam, as it is located not far from Pragati maidan we went there by autoriksha. Were four of us: two Indian guys, my friend and I.
And even in spite of Indian presence among us, drivers asked more money than it costs in reality.
I remember that guys tried four autorikshas before we finally caught a normal one.

Autorickshaws from Paharganj dupe even indians who are new to Delhi.

An old rickshaw-wallah saw I was a foreigner so he told me that the miter was karabh hai (broken) and it would cost ne 100 Rs. I was so shocked that just herd myself screaming: Kyun? Pagal ho gaya??? Maybe it was not correct grammatically but he totally got me and it was his turn to scream now: Sorry, madam, sorry!!!

They write it using english letters not the way it sounds.......I don't even understand what is written when I read it being written with english letters... ...soooo...

BTW, Ritesh was good at explaining Hindi or translating into it or from it into English...I used to ask him for something like that whenever I needed it...he was always kind to respond fast...so u can also ask him to help you or come here and help all of us...
Savyonok is always very good at that...
